Ridge Racer for PSP

Ridge Racer for Playstation Portable
With each new system released by Sony there has been a new RIDGE RACER game from Namco, and the PSP is no exception. The new RIDGE RACER makes full use of the PSP’s abilities while delivering the intense racing experience gamers have come to expect from the series. RIDGE RACER contains several different game play modes. There’s a one-off race option that puts players right in the action, racing against 11 other cars for the win. Then there’s world tour mode in which racers compete for the title of world champion in a series of increasingly more difficult races. Winning in the world tour mode unlocks new cars and tracks for use in the other modes, which include time trials and multiplayer mode. Up to four players can compete in multiplayer mode on any of the game’s tracks. The powerslide, a staple of RIDGE RACER, is back. The primary method of cornering, players will quickly come to rely on the powerslide. In the PSP version of RIDGE RACER, each powerslide fills up the player’s nitro gauge. When a gauge is full, it can be used to put on a burst of speed. Of course, the opposing racers also have nitro gauges and will make full use of them, especially on the more difficult world tour races. The newest RIDGE RACER brings back
everything gamers love about the series with a few new tweaks and makes full use of the PSP hardware, making it a racing game not to be missed.
